Hands Making Pasta

 

Subsequently, with the Hands Making Pasta series, I let ink sink through thin folded material producing imagery that diminished every time it repeated itself. These drawings hint at the importance of monotonous daily gestures, the basis for nurturing. They also contemplate the blurring and diluting of identity that is natural to the process of assimilation.
